My research interest is to understand aquatic and terrestrial communities and also how these communities respond to changing ecological and climatic conditions. My focus is now to understand the meta-community prospective in ecology. I am also interested in figuring out the interplay between environmental sorting and dispersal for maintaining diversity in a region. Currently, I am working on aquatic fish communities. I plan to extend my studies on other organisms like macro-invertebrates, reptiles and birds.

Apart from lab, my interests lie in Indian classical music and occasional writing. I believe in leading a very simple and spiritual life. I have learnt classical music and played tabla on many notable platforms. I am always on the lookout for learning new skills needed for my research.
